![]() but it's not actually that hard.įirstly, Digital tuners can often output an analog signal out in any format. Oh dear !! Digital PAL tv on an Analog NTSC. Unfortunately there are no equivalent releases for PAL markets as it was an extra only offered in Japan. For anyone interested the controlling unit is an Xanavi (hu i think) that is also found in skylines. Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Does anyone know of a way to:Ī) Have a device provide an NTSC equivalent signal to the NTSC tuner so that control can be maintained.ī) Replace the NTSC Anolgue tuner with a component (not sure where to source) Digital PAL tuner that outputs in NTSC.Ĭ) A completely different alernative that I am too dull to think of. Obviously I could use an aftermarket digital tuner and plug it in through the auxillary video imput and use a remote but I'm keen to keep using the touch screen interface for channel selesction etc. I have a Japanese spec NTSC touch screen in my car (a Nissan Stagea import) and I need to convert the analogue NTSC tuner to recieve digital PAL. So here goes, I've had this discussion with many people on various automotive forums and am now realising that there may need to be a bit more technical knowledge involved than that the reguglar car club member has.
